I have a bass guitar amp can i change that to a more hard rock style? is there anything like that?
i bought a guitar and an amp.. then realised the amp was a bass amp, ive heard of pedals what do they do? or should i just switch the amp?
the only difference with a guitar amp and a bass amp is basically the size of the speaker. you need a bigger speaker to produce a deeper sound. but you can very well use your bass amp as a guitar amp, only now it's louder. =)
as for the rock sound. pedals like flanger, distortion etc. are readily available in music stores. digital many-effects-in-one pedal is also a more recent development.
or you can do what the 60's rockers did in the absence of technology or funds to but effects... they slashed their speakers (the round thing in the middle instead of the black cone) this causes the distortion they like.
